Score every lead the way you would, not on gut feel

Describe a good lead once, the way you would brief a new rep. QX applies that standard to the whole list, so a 7 means the same thing on row 12 and row 1,200.

Scoring by memory

  • Every rep has a slightly different idea of a 'good lead'
  • HubSpot scores on form fills, not on who you actually sell to
  • The great founder in the wrong industry disappears into a number
  • Nobody can explain to a new hire why one lead ranks above another

With a scoring Grid

  • One column holds the score and a short reason for it
  • Every row is judged the same way, so you can sort and cut with confidence
  • The interesting exceptions stay visible instead of being auto-rejected
  • Change your criteria and re-run just that column without touching the rest

How it works

  1. 1

    Start with a researched list

A score needs something to judge, like company size, industry, funding, or notes you already have. Research the list first, or start from a CSV that has the basics.

  2. 2

Describe what a good lead looks like

Set out the revenue range, industry, whether they are hiring, and where they are, written the way you would brief a person. The score follows your words, not a generic model of buyer intent.

  3. 3

    Sort, cut, and pass along

Keep the 8s for the team, send the 5s to a nurture list. A Flow can drop the high scorers straight into the right rep's Slack.

FAQs

Yes, that is the point. Next to every score sits a sentence or two of reasoning, so you see why a row is a 7, not just that it is.

Edit the column's instructions and run it again. The old scores stay until you overwrite them, so you can compare old against new if you want.

HubSpot scores on what people do inside HubSpot, like page visits and form fills. A QX column scores on whatever is on the row, whether that is web research, Apollo data, or your own notes. Plenty of teams use both.
